Spa Guide

General

Unless otherwise arranged, spa sessions are 2 hours 30 minutes long, and are set at 9am, 3pm and 6pm.

This is an outdoor spa. Towels and robes are provided and there is an outdoor changing/shower area. Just bring your own sliders or flip-flops and weather appropriate clothing. Please shower before use and wear footwear between facilities. After using the sauna, always rinse off in the outdoor shower before using the hot tub or cold plunge.

NO GLASS IN THE HOT TUB! Please use the provided plastic drinking glasses in the hot tub. Broken glass in the water will be invisible and very dangerous.
No smoking in the tub please.

Please do not use any of the spa facilities if there is lightning or high winds.

If you are pregnant or have any underlying health conditions please check with your doctor before using any of the spa facilities.

Please call or text us on 07932 728 606 if you need any help at all.

Hot Tub

Lifting the Cover

LEAVE THE BLACK LIFTING BAR IN PLACE!
Fold the cover up and over in half, starting from the steps.
With one person on each side, lift the bar up taking the cover with it, SLOWLY to a vertical position.

Getting In

The inflatable pillows on the steps are for extra comfort. Put them in the water before getting in.

Keeping one hand on the edge of the tub, use the steps to climb in to the first seat in front of the steps. Move around the tub slowly without standing up.

Controls

If there is a small padlock icon on the display, press "MEM" two times to clear it. This will unlock the control panel for use.

Please avoid pressing random buttons as this will disrupt settings and impair your enjoyment!

Water Temperature

This will be 35-37° C. The water temperature cannot be increased with the lid open.

Jets

Buttons 1, 2 & 3 will turn the jets on and off in the 3 corner seats. Using the jets can cause water temperature to drop slightly due to the increased air circulation. Please turn off jets in unoccupied corners, and also if you are leaving the hot tub for any length of time.

Quiet Time

For 'quiet time' you can also switch off the jets with buttons 1, 2 & 3, and also switch off the heater circulation by pressing "PREHEAT" and then wait 2 seconds. Press it again to resume.

Getting Out

When you have finished just remove the headrests and replace the cover. Please leave the tub switched on to allow filtration to continue.

Sauna

As well as for relaxing, the sauna is also for the health benefits of getting seriously hot and sweaty, so please use a towel to sit on.

Keep the door closed and avoid going in and out unnecessarily.

Temperature

To adjust the temperature, use the right hand knob on the heater, turn it one segments in the appropriate direction and wait a few minutes before adjusting any further.

Humidity

To increase humidity you can slowly trickle a small amount of water onto the heater rocks using the ladle provided. Do this SLOWLY as it can splash outwards. If it is coming out the bottom of the heater, that is too much, too fast.

Getting Out

Close the door behind you and sit down on the outside seat for a moment to climatise and make sure you are not dizzy.

Please remember to rinse off in the outdoor shower before using the hot tub or cold plunge.

Cold Plunge

Water Temperature

The water temperature will be around 15° C by default, for beginners. If you are experienced and would like a specific temperature (down to a minimum of 2° C), just let us know at least a few hours in advance.

Getting In

Remove the lid using both handles and set it down safely out of the way.

Keeping both hands on the top edge, use the steps to climb in.

Lower yourself down and sit on the internal seat.

Breathing

Remember to breathe deep and slow and try to remain calm.

Getting Out

With both hands on the top edge, stand on the seat and get one leg out behind yourself and down on to the steps.
